Christopher Amling, MD, FACS is Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology at Oregon Health & Science University, where he also serves as Director of Robotic Surgery. He completed his urology residency training at Duke University Medical Center and pursued a urologic oncology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. His clinical practice focuses on the utilization of robotic and minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of genitourinary malignancies.
Dr. Amling has contributed over 170 peer-reviewed publications, many focused on prostate cancer risk assessment and outcomes. He served for 20 years in the US Navy rising to the rank of Captain. He is a recipient of the AUA Gold Cystoscope Award and is an active member of multiple professional organizations including the American Surgical Association, the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons and the Clinical Society of Genitourinary Surgeons.
