Dr. Autorino is currently working in Richmond, Virginia, where is Clinical Associate Professor of Urology at Virginia Commonwealth University and Attending Urologist at both VCU Medical Center and McGuire VA Medical Center. He was previously at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Associate Professor of Urology at Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating cum laude at Federico II Medical School in Napoli (Italy), Dr. Autorino completed his Residency training in the same city, where he also obtained a PhD degree in Urological Sciences at 2nd University of Naples. In 2010, he moved to the USA where he first completed a 2-year Research Fellowship in Urology, and then a 2-year Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy & Robotic Surgery at the Glickman Institute, Cleveland Clinic. He has been a junior faculty member of the 2009 AUA-EAU Academic Exchange Program. He is active member of the EAU, AUA, SIU, and the Endourological Society. In 2012, he was awarded with the Italian Matula Award by the Italian Society of Urology. In 2017 he was recipient of the Hans Marberger Award at the annual EAU meeting. Dr. Autorino serves as reviewer for numerous Journals, and has received several awards, including European Urology Reviewer of the month (March 2009), Journal of Urology – Best Reviewer in Basic Science (2010), Engineering and Urology Society Meeting – Best Reviewer (2010-12), Asian Journal of Andrology – Top referee (2013), Archivos Espanoles de Urologia – Perez Castro Award (2013), Urology – Top reviewer (2015-16). He serves as editorial board member of European Urology, European Urology Focus, World Journal of Urology, Archivos Espanoles de Urologia, and International Brazilian Journal of Urology. He is the Associate Editor for Laparoscopy and Robotics of Minerva Urology & Nephrology. He co-authored over 310 PubMed-indexed publications, and several book chapters. His current Scopus h-index is 45.
