Manoj Monga, MD

Dr. Monga is the Professor and Chair of Urology at the University of California, San Diego. He has previously served as the Director of the Stevan Streem Center for Endourology & Stone Disease at the Glickman Urological & Kidney Institute of the Cleveland Clinic, and Joseph Sorkness Professor and Vice-Chair of Urology at the University of Minnesota. After graduating from the Chicago Medical School, he completed his residency at Tulane University. He specializes in Endourology and Stone Disease. He was awarded the Endourology Society “Arthur Smith Young Innovators’ Award” in 2007, and has over 450 peer-reviewed publications. His research has focused on the evaluation and design of medical devices related to endourology. In 2018 he was awarded the Ralph Clayman Mentor Award by the Endourology Society.
Dr. Monga served as the Secretary of the American Urological Association from 2015-2019. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Endourology Society and on numerous AUA and AUA-Sectional committees including the recent AUA Guidelines Panels for both Medical therapy for Nephrolithiasis and Surgical Therapy for nephrolithiasis. He is the Past-President of the Minnesota Urological Society, the Past-President of the Engineering & Urology Society and the past-Treasurer of the Ohio Urological Society. He was elected to the American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons (AAGUS) in 2016. He is the Past-President of the ROCK (Research on Calculous Kinetics) Society.
